Are you organising a Corporate Dinner Party?
It all starts with choosing the perfect venue without falling back to conference venues or hotels. A private venue offers you a lot more flexibility and will help you create the right tone for your audience and event. If there are a lot of guests that are first-time attendees, it might be a good idea to use name cards and seating plans to mix employees and existing/new clients. Before the dinner, we advise you to have some cocktails and canapés to create a relaxed atmosphere and to enable the guests to mix and unwind before they sit down to enjoy the rest of the evening. It also allows you to informally welcome some first-time guests, introduce them to other team members, and make everyone feel more at ease.
As food is an integral part of any dinner party and, in general, there are 2 choices for a corporate dinner, a buffet or a sit-down dinner. One advantage of a buffet is that it enables the guests to mix together whilst choosing their food, and it eliminates the issues with catering for allergies. However, if a more formal event is required with silver service, this would suit a dinner party for smaller groups, events aimed at new clients, or if you are just looking for something more bespoke and elegant. Sometimes it’s a great option to switch seats after each course to ensure the guest will mingle.
During dinner, there are different entertainment options from having a small jazz trio move around the tables to a smashing performance of french cabaret dancers. And then there are always the after-dinner speakers, providing motivation and inspiration for colleagues and new clients. Whether humorous or topical, there are plenty of companies with a selection of different guests to choose from, ensuring the right speaker can be tailored for the look and feel of the event. After dinner, you can finish the evening with a great DJ set to loosen the atmosphere and allow your guest to let down their hair before the evening comes to an end.
